Welcome!

I am a Visiting Professor in the Department of Demography at the University of Montreal (UdeM).  My interests lie in the fields of international migration, inequality, and education. Methodologically, I combine causal inference and quantitative methods to analyze these topics.

Originally from Mexico City, I completed a Ph.D. in Public Policy at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin in 2022 with specialized training in demography from the University of Texas at Austin's Population Research Center (PRC). Before joining UdeM, I worked as a post-doctoral researcher at McGill University's Department of Sociology and earned an M.P.A. from Cornell University and a B.A. in Economics and a B.A. in Political Science from ITAM, Mexico.
